Petzl RACK Descender
Designed for caving, the Petzl RACK is a Descender that is easy to manipulate. The design and configuration of the RACK bars make it easy to set up and insert the rope. Compact and lightweight, the device allows the user to adjust the amount of friction during the descent, to adapt to changing conditions. The RACK is compatible with 0.35'' to 0.51'' diameter low stretch kernmantel ropes on one rope strand and can also be used on two strands of low stretch kernmantel ropes with diameter of 0.31'' to 0.43'' to facilitate long descents of over 262 ft. The lifespan of the device can be optimized by replacing the brake bars.
